Our handprint logo is now an officially registered trade mark

We are very fond of our company logo and, although it has experienced some minor alterations over the years, the handprint has been consistent since Digits was established almost 15 years ago.  So we decided to protect our identity by getting it officially registered.

But what does the logo represent? Why a handprint?

Well, the handprint is considered as the most basic, raw form of art, dating back to cave paintings from the Palaeolithic period (30,000 years BC).  The hand is formed of five ‘digits’, ‘digits’ also being the basic numeration used in computing. Combine the two and you have the raw creativity and fundamental knowledge of technology that pretty much sums up what our company represents;

Creative designers that understand technology

Oh and the handprint itself also belongs to our Managing Director and founder Colin Bull, but that was merely for convenience!

To launch the new status, we are looking to give the logo a slight refresh so keep your eyes open for the changes and the little ® !
