As an eLearning supplier for the global retail chain Specsavers Optical Group Ltd, Digits were requested to create an online evaluation to test their learners’ knowledge retention of their audiology eLearning modules.
This evaluation was aimed at refreshing and enhancing the learning gained from the recent updates to 10 of the audiology eLearning modules that had been rolled out to retail colleagues.
Specsavers prides itself in applying the same principles of care, expertise and value for money to its audiology business as it does to its optical business. These standards place the customer at the heart of the business, therefore the eLearning retention training was essential in reinforcing the importance of its staff knowledge, ensuring employees are in the best possible position to give customers well-informed audiology advice and service in their retail stores.
Using content from the original modules, Digits created 20 engaging and varied questions to comprise the online evaluation. These challenged the learner’s knowledge and understanding on a variety of audiology topics, using a mixture of methods to engage the learner including single and multiple choice, drag and drop and matching question formats.
In order to pass the evaluation, the learner is required to gain a score of 80% or more and can then book a place on the ‘Audiology Essentials’ classroom session.
The project was turned around in a matter of days and well received by colleagues.
